Biography

A graduate of the West Chester University College of Visual and Performing Arts, Bruce Greenwald is best known as a big band leader, performing on clarinet and saxophone in and around the Philadelphia area. Bruce created the Audubon Jazz Explosion Big Band in 1994 and led this seventeen-piece ensemble for ten years. With the Audubon Jazz Explosion, he recorded and produced two big band albums. Bruce performs with multiple bands and musical pit orchestras in and around southeastern Pennsylvania, was an adjudicator at high school jazz band competitions, and has written arrangements for shows and bands. Most recently, Bruce has performed with the Main Street Sound Big Band, the Audubon Symphony Orchestra, the 22 Park Avenue Big Band, the White Hot and Kool Band, the Midnight Revue Band, the BarBQ Band, the Dixie on the Side Dixieland Band, and the Philadelphia Legends of Jazz Orchestra.
